Why Women Struggle With Beauty

This is Candice Bergen. An After and a Before picture. She's 63 years old. This is why the Internet should be waded through with rubber boots and gloves. A lot of it is such shit.

Take a close look at the bottom of her nose on the photo on the left. A heavy brown line has been photoshopped in. There is also the same photoshopped line on the right nose. Only not as strongly.

Does anyone, besides me, know what Candice really had done?

  2. You should teach women's studies 101. Seriously. This is most important info for young women.

    Like you.

    Of course.

  3. Anyone who thinks they can improve upon Candace Bergen's looks, should have their head examined.

I don't even think the picture on the left is her. I think that is Mariette Hartley.

  4. So can photoshop be applied in real life?

  5. I must profess ignorance as to spotting the specific photo-shopping items, but the pictures are so different, I wondered if there was surgery, makeup, or air-brushing going on. Her neck and upper chest look completely different - so do her eyes, lower cheek/chin areas, hairline, nose, mouth, and brows - all of which amount to a hill of beans to me.

Beauty is subjective and can fade, and has been known to hide truly evil souls - but character will shine forth no matter the face it wears.

  8. How do you know the line is photoshopped in? And why would it be? Totally confused here....is your point that the effect is not only from make-up but from photo-doctoring?

It's just not fair that women look worse as they age, but guys (at least sometimes) look better. We are so screwed.

  9. Her eyes look huge in the right photo. Is that really her?

I thought she looked damn good to begin with, so I'd have left well enough alone.

  12. I don't get it. She looks fine in both. What's with that?

Oh and her chest/neck? She's really 63, that's what it proves. Good on her. But I don't think she's surgeried up, is she?

  13. The end of her nose is missing and had to be photoshopped in? I dunno, but I do think she looks great, if overdone on the left.

  14. I LOVE these tutorials on photoshopping of you. Unfortunately, I'm still in the 101 class. I'm guessing she had something done to her neck. I want it, too.

  15. I think she only had her eyes done but then that's because I want to believe some beauty last forever.

  17. Facelift?! I love it when you point out the photoshop. I never see that stuff, but I always assume it's there.

  18. Hmmm. I thought it was someone else on the left too... I just can't handle when people get all their lines taken away... ERASING their history..however I do think Candice Bergen is a beautiful woman.

Speaking of.. Did anyone see Jessica Lange last night? She looks so much older than her years.. isn't she only 60?? It looks like she's had work done, but I can't figure it out. She's the same age as Meryl streep.. or close.. and looks much older..

  19. Did she have an eye lift? That's popular among we epicanthic fold types. I like my chinese eyes. (Kids in school said that 's what they were.) I've had them since childhood and am in no hurry to give them up no matter what the fashion pundits say.
