This is my latest piece up at Scrivel. While you're there, vote for me! MEMEMEMEMEME!

  1. As a rule, I don't usually do memes. But I did vote for ya.

Learned any cool maneuvers on that Roller Aid yet?

  2. I voted for you as I also have a lot of bitterness toward cheerleaders.
When I was in college, a girl approached me while I was eating lunch and asked me if I wanted to try out for cheerleading. I nearly spit out my Hostess cupcake as I laughed. I wish the bitches from high school were there to hear her ask me that. She probably asked me because I was skinny and that gives people the illusion that they are also in good shape!

I gave you 5 stars, thus raising your average of 11 voters from 4 to 4.25 stars.

    You can thank me later.

  4. I gave you more stars than Tommy James did. I'm competitive that way.
That, and I thought the piece was funny.

    You're so welcome.

I voted for you. Also with the cheerleader thing, when I was in high school, for three years in a row the senior class lead cheerleader got knocked up by a member of the basketball team. Sluts! Nothing but sluts! (And stupid ones at that...the pill was readily available then....)

  7. When I was 12, I cheered for the 100 pounders. It always bugged me that I outweighed them all.

Plus, for a few years (when I was much younger), I actually performed standup on stage in a cheerleading outfit. I was alternative before alternative was cool.

But, our niece's cheerleading squad just tied for first place at the national championships. Go Kat!

  8. You make an interesting point about cheerleaders. We all have an opinion about these creatures, it seems. I can envision a sociological study being done in a university somewhere called, "Cheerleaders: Why We Love Them and Why We Hate Them."
