One day I took red fingernail polish and black satin paint and distressed the photo, the frame and the wall. I accidentally distressed the curtain to the right of the picture and the carpet. I give 110% to all my projects, even the ones I'm thisclose to ruining.

suz-Tell me about the vase.
ReplyDeleteUhhhhh... there goes your cleaning deposit!
ReplyDeleteMickey, I love people who call me Suz so you might be my new husband.
ReplyDeleteThat vase was on the reality show House of Carters only I bought mine before I saw it on there. Are you happy now, Mickey? I've admitted to watching that bad reality show and the world knows I'm retarded. All for you, dude, all for you.
I found the vase at Ross. As much as I love Ralph Lauren, I love Ross more. I found my white Ralph Lauren sunglasses at Ross and they were a lot cheaper than the black ones I bought chez Ralph Malibu.
Dave2, you always make me laugh. For those of you not reading Blogography (on my sidebar) GO THERE NOW.
ReplyDeleteE said "OMG, What did she do?!"
ReplyDeleteI love it.
gmc: I get that a lot. About my entire life.
ReplyDeleteI think you need to notify one of those Melrose Avenue Galleries ASAP. This is fabulous. It's an installation. That's what art is all about now -- installations. You're on to something....
ReplyDeleteAloha,
Martha Jane
P.S. We can only imagine what you could do to portraits other than those of yourself....I can't wait!
It's too derivative of Pollack but at least I'm copying from the best. But thanks for the compliment. I have another one I'm going to post soon, it's very weird.
ReplyDeleteSuzy,
ReplyDeleteI don't believe Pollack ever "drizzled" on portraits, but then again I may have taken a controlled substance when I went to the museum 25 years ago to see the exhibit...we await your new installations....
Aloha,
Martha Jane
Pollack drizzled but no, not over another painting. I meant that the drizzling was the part I was copying. Although I'll bet he never used fingernail polish.
ReplyDeletewtf? I so want to go there and clean it up! LOL i guess there is no stopping your creative streak (no pun intended)...i'm so tired!
ReplyDeleteI hide markers and nail polish to prevent my three-year-old from expressing himself that way--because I am the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser queen.
ReplyDeleteThat's what mounted canvas is for, Suz!
So much distressing. Does that make you distressed? Or something?
