"An Indonesian fisherman who grows warts that resemble tree branches out of his arms and feet said in December that his condition has worsened despite surgery to correct the problem. Dede, dubbed the tree man, said the growths returned shortly after he had 13 pounds of warts removed from his body in August." ~AOL 2/7/09
See what I mean?
See what I mean?
ugh...how does he wipe his butt when he goes to the bathroom? maybe what he needs are beavers.
ReplyDeleteI was all ready to make a bunch of tree cracks then I took another look at the sleeves of his shirt and there's no way he could get those branches through them. It's gotta be fake.
ReplyDeleteThis is REAL. I saw a documentary on him where he had surgery to remove most of it.
ReplyDeleteI will not look at that. no way. UGH
ReplyDeleteI think nature creates conditions like this just so we will shut up about having the sniffles.
ReplyDeletePoor sap.
Sorry, I had to.
If the adage "There's always someone worse off than you" holds true, I wonder who this man looks at and says "Thank the Gods that isn't me!".
Much sympathy though I feel for him, I am still going to complain about having a head full of misery (thanks, Evil Genius, for sharing your plague)...but I'll do it knowing how much worse I COULD be feeling.
Shade and Sweetwater,
K
um...ewww that was not what I expected to see here first thing this morning...thanks!
ReplyDeleteOooooh oooh...at least no one can accuse him of being a bump on a log...ba da bump.
ReplyDeleteIs that how it goes? lame
So horrifying, poor man. I saw the documentary on him too. The US docs told him that the surgery wouldn't work, but the docs from his homeland told him it would. I hope he tries the drugs now.
ReplyDeleteOh frig, I was just about to bite into my sandwich!
ReplyDeleteYeah - your body hates you and tries to convince you of a lot of stuff. Like that you area tree.
ReplyDeleteMore fascinating was how their identity became so wrapped up in it, they weren't sure if they wanted the surgeries.
I saw the documentary about him--I think it's some sort of autoimmune disease.
ReplyDeleteTalk about perspective.
I feel pretty. Oh so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jenee, how did he get that shirt on?
ReplyDeleteHoly shit!
ReplyDeleteI was so upset this morning when I dropped the last piece of coffee cake. I can see now wishing I was dead was an overreaction.
Poor guy.
Bless him. That's a helluva curse.
ReplyDeleteMother of ass, that's horrible.
ReplyDeleteWow. I guess I don't have any problems....
