The Secret To A Long Life

In a study of people who live to be 100, researchers found they shared certain personality traits:

1. Generally extroverted and gregarious.

"Dear God I'll be dead in 5 years."

2. Have a stable social network.

"Maybe 4."

3. Don't bemoan life's difficulties.

"3 years, tops."

4. Have mastered the art of letting go.

"Definitely 2."

5. The majority were in decades-long relationships and had only kissed one person their entire lives.

"I won't make it to 5 p.m. Wednesday"

End of chat.

  2. I don't consider it to be "living" if you've kissed only one person a year, let alone a lifetime!

  3. Dude. Item number 5 just sunk my battle ship. I'm doomed.

  4. You're take on it is very funny, but #5 is a bit ridiculous--I mean those people were born 100 years ago when life was quite different.

  5. I promised my kid to live as long as I can, so I guess I'd better do the things on this horrible list. Gah!

  6. I'm screwed. I can't tell you how many men I've kissed. No really. I can't even tell you, cuz I don't know. But it's a whole lot more than ONE. I mean, ONE = deprivation. I just don't wanna live like that.

  7. I'll skip the social advice and stay on my ultra-low-fat diet.
Besides, all the 100 year old anti-social loners hung up on them when they called; the study is flawed.

  8. If this were true I would have never made it past childhood. I am in a decades-long relationship and I still kiss more than a few people every year. There's kissing and there's KISSING.

  15. Hmm. I think numbers 1 thru 5 are flawed. Who answers yes to all of those? And most important? Do I want to know those people??
