"I've been working since I was 5 years old, so my kids are going to start working next year, at ages 4, 6 and 8. They're going to start applying for jobs very soon."
~Jessica Seinfeld, New York Magazine Oct. 2009

I need Jessica to light a fire under my 16-year old. Actually, he's looking, but, you know, the economy.
ReplyDeleteNever too young to start pulling your own weight! Goldfish crackers don't grow on trees, you know...
ReplyDeleteShe needs to leave the comedy to Jerry!
ReplyDeleteI think that confirms the fact that he married her for her mind.
ReplyDeleteI'm about to give up on my horrible children and just sell them.
ReplyDeleteBTW, we just saw the Seinfeld episode the other night. It's now known in our house as the Suzy episode.
The hell. What are they going to do? Fold washcloths? Install fingerprints?
ReplyDeleteSuzy,
ReplyDeletethey are never too young to bring in the money, look at the Jacksons, well hmmmm.....maybe not
Isn't this why we have kids... so they can get out there and get a job to help support the family?
ReplyDeleteI hate Jerry and his dumb bride.
ReplyDeleteGreat, as if it wasn't hard enough to find a job as a mature woman, now we're going to have to compete with 4 year olds who will take much lower pay and have the energy to work longer hours.
ReplyDeleteLMAO at Sabreena's comment!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Frau! She should leave the funny stuff with Jerry!
ReplyDeleteVodka sent me. Very appropriate post as my 20 year old daughter needs a job - she keeps whining about being a full time college student. She has grown tired of my " I worked my way through college" speech.
ReplyDeletekids work? get outta town! :P lol
ReplyDeleteI love all the new and funny commenters.
ReplyDeletefirst job for my kids: doing their own laundry. second job: cleaning the kitchen. thanks for showing me I'm not the only meanest mommy on the block.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiring idea. It almost (ALMOST!) makes me want to have kids.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that what kids are for? To lower our workload. I haven't done dishes in soooo long.
