Amoeba is known as the world's largest independent music store. Their window displays are a trip. If you visit Los Angeles and don't stop here, you won't be able to buy music you've never heard of.

Have you got a vinyl collection, or just cds?
ReplyDeleteSo how come you didn't take a picture of the window display?
ReplyDeleteyeah, i'd like to see the window display too!
ReplyDeletewe're getting more and more demanding, suzy...lol
Now you've forced me to answer my comments IN the comments, a habit I gave up years ago when I decided to answer people individually. If I haven't answered you individually it's because you don't have your email enabled.
ReplyDeleteI also HATE those bloggers who answer every single last comment they get just to bump up their numbers. FAKE.
I was in the car when I took the picture of Amoeba. I was stopped at the light on Sunset and it was raining (which explains the poor quality of the photo)(also you can see the windshield wiper in the shot)
So I couldn't see the window from my window. Also? It's Los Angeles, it's against the law to walk.
We don't have music stores here?
ReplyDeleteWe really are in Podunk, WI, aren't we?
Glad they're still in business. Since iTunes has taken over the world.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great - I love buying music I've never heard of. That's how you get to discover new artists.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see just how much longer record stores will stay in business.
ReplyDeleteI am totally one of those bloggers that answers every comment. I shamelessly do it to bump for numbers, but also to guilt readers into commenting again. Why not- I mean they can see I'm on that island all by myself out there, hell half of them comment merely out of guilt. Its my only defense.
