Here's What I Did During My Half Week Off

$300 at the shrink to get anti-anxiety meds.

$ 65 at The chiropractor to learn I had a pinched nerve.

$ 33 at Rite-Aid's discount service for people with no medical insurance but an appearance on Seinfeld.

$398.00 for things I already knew.

The meds have made me stop crying. I was crying 5 or 6 times a day. Now I don't and strangely I miss it. I guess it's pretty clear how neurotic I am.

I was a total wuss at the chiro's and Dr. Jeff made McLoserstene HOLD MY HEAD so I wouldn't run away. How long do you think she'll be telling random strangers THAT story?

I still haven't paid my taxes. You know, just to change the subject.

End of chat.

  1. Wow, shrink costs have really gone up!
I hope the chiro can help your pinched nerve.
    Glad you are back!

  2. Are you sure you won't change your mind and vote for the guy who might do something about the healthcare situation?

I probably shouldn't tease you when you're in pain. Sorry.

  3. jenn, he's only going to make sure children are covered. You have him confused with Hillary, who wanted everyone covered. That should tell you A LOT about a man who served 143 days in office before he made a run for the White House, no?

  4. Me, neither. Taxes, that is.
    I've stopped crying.

wow $300 for a shrink? When I had to go it was $95- I guess that was a long time ago...pinched nerves could be a bicth. I tore my calf last week- still limping, not hating life so much because now I can drive, sleep, walk, have sex...you know. The necessities.

I can't get to the post office. Every friggin time I try to some bullshit comes up. I'm about to take an entire day off of work just so I can have 8 hours to attempt to get there (with those odds I'll totally make it right???). You're not crying, but are your hands still numb??

  7. Maybe you could get a part-time job as a cryer to relieve some of these costs? Sorry to tease - but really, how are the hands????

  13. Just the other day I wanted to have a crying jag but my body wouldn't cooperate, and I was pissed. I just sat on my bed saying "I really want to cry." Over and over. That's how neurotic I am.

I'm glad you acted out at the chiro. I act nutty at every doctor or doctor-type I have to go to because it saves on the shrink bills if they suck some of it up.

  14. Shrinks are worth it. Says the girl who owes hers $1185.

    Sigh.

Ask your doctor for Prednisone. You'll get those good cries back, I promise... I took it for 12 months back in '03-'04 (you know why) and haven't stopped crying since. Then again, I'm part wussy.
